Common Code Violations

High Weeds and Grass: 7.02.002 – Grass must be cut when height is greater than 12 inches.

  • Mosquitoes hide and rest in tall grass and weeds. Keep your grass as short as possible and mow as frequently as possible. Also, ensure bushes and shrubs are well-trimmed.
  • Not only are high grass and weeds unsightly, but they also pose fire hazards, block visibility, harbor rodents and snakes and contribute to pests like mosquitoes and chiggers.

Trash & Debris: 7.02.003 – Rubbish, brush or other unsanitary matter.

  • Attracts pest and rodents.
  • Decreases property values and is unsightly.

Illegal Placement of Bandit Signs

  • Citizens or HOA’s can remove bandit signs.
  • If the sign is questionable, call the code enforcement officer, and they can remove the sign.
