Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held before the Northlake Planning and Zoning Commission at a meeting to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Northlake Town Hall, 1500 Commons Circle, Suite 300, Northlake, Texas, and before the Northlake Town Council on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at a meeting to begin at 5:30 pm at Northlake Town Hall, 1500 Commons Circle, Suite 300, Northlake, Texas. The purpose of the hearings is to hear comments for or against a request for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) to allow an addition to an accessory structure which would cause it to exceed 50% of the area of the home (primary structure) on Lot 15, Block 7, North Ridge Estates, a 1.07-acre lot located at 7610 Willow Ridge Drive, and zoned RE – Rural Estate. The applicant has requested a Specific Use Permit (SUP) to allow an addition to an existing 1,440 square-foot accessory structure for a total covered area of 1,920 square feet which exceeds the maximum area allowed for accessory structures without approval of a SUP, 50% of the primary structure (the home). The gross building area of the home is 3,050 square feet. The proposed addition is a roof extension to provide a carport to accommodate RV storage.
