In April of 2020, the Northlake Police Department moved to a new facility at 1600 Commons Circle. The new facility is part of the Northlake Commons development, and is adjacent to Town Hall.

The Police Department was previously housed in a modular structure located at 1400 FM 407, the same site as the Public Works Building (old Town Hall). A modular structure was originally added to the site in the Spring of 2008 to house the offices of the Municipal Court and Police Departments. It was later enlarged and relocated to its current location in front of the Public Works Building.
